Dragash takes lumps, back for more: Week Two IHSAA sectional picks
By CRAIG DRAGASH

There are a lot of reactions you can have after my Week one sectional performance last week:
- Wow, there were a lot of upsets last week!
- Those were some great games that could have gone either way.
- That Dragash guy has no idea what he is talking about!
I can’t argue with any of those, so whatever your reaction may have been, facts are facts; I was 0-4 on my IHSAA sectional picks last week. Come on, who out there got all of those games right (Noblesville, Warren Central, Pike, Chatard)? I’m back to take another shot at this week’s action. Last week’s games raised a lot of eyebrows with Pike defeating Ben Davis, Zionsville knocking off previously unbeaten Brownsburg, and a 4-5 Warren Central team beating 5A defending champion Carmel. This week figures to feature more of the same. Seven games on the docket this week, so here we go:
Fishers at Hamilton SE
Fishers lost two out of three to finish the regular season before winning at Anderson in their sectional opener. HSE is on a serious roll, but you can bet Fishers will be ready for this one. However, the Royals simply have too much firepower to allow the Tigers to pull off the upset here.
Hamilton SE 31, Fishers 21
Lawrence Central at Warren Central
Another huge test for the Warriors; LC looks to be the team to beat in 5A. Warren got a huge boost when they knocked off Carmel last week, and the return of receiver Raymond Epps has been a shot in the arm for their offense. We all know about Warren’s defense; can LC’s offense produce? That will be the question. Before the tournament started, I would have picked LC in this one without hesitation; but after last week..???
Lawrence Central 21, Warren Central 20
Pike at Zionsville
Pike over Ben Davis, or Zionsville over Brownsburg; which one was the bigger win last week? Tough to call, just as the prediction for this game is. Zionsville is at home; that is the only edge I can see to give either side on this one.
Zionsville 31, Pike 28
Roncalli at Greenwood
Roncalli has had a solid season at 8-2; it handled a good Plainfield team last week 24-7. The Woodmen had their one hiccup two weeks ago when Whiteland handed them their only defeat. Greenwood believes it’s time.
Greenwood 28, Roncalli 24
Tri-West at Greencastle
The Tiger Cubs pitched another shutout last week, and don’t appear to have any vulnerability at this point. The Bruins will certainly challenge them, but until Greencastle’s armor cracks I won’t pick against them.
Greencastle 20, Tri-West 10
Speedway at Ritter
The Raider Train keeps rolling; Ritter’s average margin of victory this season is 33, and they beat the Sparkplugs by 24 in week four. Speedway has had a good season at 7-3, but it ends on Friday.
Ritter 42, Speedway 24
Scecina at Knightstown
Hagerstown was upset by Eastern Hancock last week, which opens things up for the winner of this matchup. Both teams are 7-3; this one is tough to call because both teams have played similar schedules. My gut says Panthers in this one.
Knightstown 31, Scecina 28
