Fahrbach’s slideshow: Indiana vs. Butler

I’ve covered a lot of events over the years. Butler’s 88-86 overtime win over Indiana on Saturday was one of the best. The electricity at Bankers Life Fieldhouse was incredible, and the fact that it was at a neutral site made it even more exciting than it would have been at either school’s home venue.
Butler’s win wasn’t all that shocking given the way the Bulldogs played against North Carolina and Indiana’s struggles against Georgia and Georgetown. But neither of these teams are as good as they are going to be. Indiana probably wins eight out of ten times in a series with Butler, but that’s the beauty of non-conference college games — you usually don’t get a second chance.
Both of these teams are threats to reach the Final Four, as is Notre Dame, which beat Purdue in the other game on Saturday. The Boilermakers are talented and might be a threat to reach the Final Four in a few years.
ISL’s Ben Fahrbach was there for the Butler-Indiana game and took these photos for a slideshow.
