Purdue F Donnie Hale to transfer
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue men’s basketball head coach Matt Painter announced today that sophomore Donnie Hale has been granted a release to transfer from the program.
“Donnie has expressed his intent to transfer to be closer to home and for his desire for more playing time. We thank him for his hard work and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors,” Painter said.
Hale, a 6-8, 221-pound forward from New Albany, Ind., appeared in 32 games with eight starts a year ago for the Boilermakers, averaging 3.8 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game as a redshirt freshman.
