I have reached the Holy Grail of football predictions
That’s right, I finally reached the coveted 5-0 plateau in week eight; but rather than rest on my laurels, I intend to use that momentum going into this final week of the season and on into the tournament. My current record is 17-8; here’s what to look for this week:
Avon at Zionsville
Avon is 5-3, and looking to get a victory over a good team like Zionsville heading into postseason play. Zionsville is coming off of the tough loss to Brownsburg in rain-soaked affair last Friday. The Eagles right the ship this week.
Zionsville 28, Avon 17
Brownsburg at Fishers
Brownsburg took care of Zionsville last week, and they face another tough opponent in their season finale in the Tigers. Fishers was defeated by Zionsville two weeks ago, but they have shown that they can compete with many of the top teams. Brownsburg is looking to send a notice to sectional six that they are the team to beat.
Brownsburg 35, Fishers 20
Warren Central at Center Grove
After Warren’s strong defensive showing vs. Carmel in week 6, the Warriors are looking to polish their offense heading into next week’s sectional play. Center Grove’s wing-T offense has a way of neutralizing tough defenses with their misdirection and unpredictability. The Warriors feel like they have something to prove going into sectional play.
Warren Central 14, Center Grove 13
Tri-West at Danville
Tri-West has been impressive since their season-opening loss to West Lafayette. They have put together seven straight wins, and are looking to finish the Sagamore Conference season undefeated. Danville squeaked by Lebanon last week, and they have not fared well vs. better competition. The Bruins spoil Senior Night in this one.
Tri-West 20, Danville 14
Western Boone at Lebanon
Jed Richman has Webo rolling; their only loss came to Tri-West in week seven by two points. Lebanon suffered 24 point loss to Tri-West earlier in the season, and they have had two close losses since. Coach Kent Wright is trying to get the Tigers to that next level, but it won’t happen this week.
Western Boone 38, Lebanon 21
